About Ras Al Khaimah International Airport:
Ras Al Khaimah International Airport was inaugurated in 1976 by his highness Sheikh Saqr bin Muhammed Al Qasimi. The airport is mostly used for local flights, cargo and freight purposes and has two passenger terminal buildings and cargo, airplane maintenance and aviation training services. The airport has a troubled past, with its own airline RAK Airways getting effected by the global finance crisis and is now a primary Hub for Air Arabia only.
