Responsibilities:

• Basically, run the whole marketing show. Work hand-in-hand with the Board to cook up strategies that’ll put the Group’s brand (yeah, TCS, TSS & Alpha—don’t forget ‘em) in the spotlight. Dig around for what makes us special and figure out which weird little corners of the market we can own. Build out real, workable marketing plans—not just fluff.
• Keep an eye on the yearly budget—don’t blow it all on one flashy campaign, but don’t be stingy, either. Stay nosy: keep tabs on trends, competitors, and any shiny new business ideas that could give us an edge. Then, actually do something about it.
• Make sure we’re firing on all cylinders when it comes to campaigns—doesn’t matter if it’s ATL, BTL, TikTok, or smoke signals. If it’s a channel, we’re on it. Nudge (okay, sometimes drag) the marketing team into shape on branding stuff, like wrangling alumni, making corporate events not suck, and keeping the website from looking like it was built in 2003.
• Don’t let the team get stale—keep ‘em learning, keep ‘em hungry. If there’s a new trend, we’re on it before it’s cool. Push the brand to new places, both at home and out in the big wild world, and make sure our promotions actually mean something to the folks we’re targeting.
• Juggle all the comms with stakeholders—internal, external, whoever—and make sure we’re not just talking the talk, but actually living TCS’s values.
• Oh, and don’t forget the fun stuff: shoots, TVCs, DVCs, whatever acronym they throw at us next. Lead the charge in haggling with media agencies so we don’t get ripped off, and lock in good deals for promo work.
• Keep the PR machine humming and make nice with the media—if we’re not in the news, we basically don’t exist. And last thing? Make sure the Internal Customer Service squad isn’t just sitting in a corner; they should be totally synced up with what marketing’s doing.

That’s the gig. Never a dull moment, right?
