Al Maya Group is looking for a talented and motivated IT Support Specialist to join our Oman Distribution team. This is a great opportunity for an IT professional with strong troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience to support and enhance our operations.
Key Responsibilities
Desktop Support:
– Provide Level 1 & Level 2 support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals (printers, scanners, etc.).
– Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows OS, MS Office, and enterprise applications.
– Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues, coordinating with vendors when needed.
– Manage systems in a domain environment and ensure antivirus deployment, updates, and endpoint security.
– Set up and manage virtual conference meetings using available tools.
– Deliver timely end-user and remote support, maintaining clear documentation of incidents and solutions.
Network Support:
– Assist in diagnosing and resolving LAN/WAN issues, including switches and routers.
– Monitor network connectivity, escalate outages, and support Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
– Perform basic configuration tasks (DNS, DHCP, IP addressing).
– Coordinate with vendors for structured cabling, patch panels, and network setups.
– Establish connectivity for Cisco IP phone configurations.
Requirements:
– 2–3 years of hands-on experience in desktop and IT support.
– Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with end users and vendors.
– Good problem-solving skills with a proactive and service-oriented mindset.
