Chinese Interpreter (Officer/Senior Officer) – Operations & Maintenance

The ideal candidate should have the following qualification, experience and skill sets:

• HSK Level 4 or above with proven fluency in Mandarin (spoken and written).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering from a Chinese university.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in technical interpretation or translation within an engineering or industrial setup.
• Strong understanding of engineering terminology, project documentation and technical drawings.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and cross-cultural coordination skills with attention to accuracy and confidentiality.

The main responsibilities of the position will involve:

• Providing real-time interpretation during meetings, discussions, and technical sessions between English and Chinese-speaking participants.
• Translating technical documents, drawings, and presentations from Chinese to English (and vice versa) with precision.
• Supporting engineering, operations and project teams in cross-language coordination and documentation.
• Ensuring effective participation of all stakeholders by removing communication barriers during project activities.
• Assisting in preparing bilingual reports, minutes of meetings, and correspondence as required.
