Position Title = > I&C Engineer – Steam Turbine Based Power Plant
Employment Type = > One Year

We are in search of an efficient and bold Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Engineer who will be a part of our team in a Steam Turbine Based Power Plant. This position calls for a deep practical knowledge of DCS, PLC, SCADA, and turbine condition monitoring systems, as well as the capability to provide operations support and direct technicians during maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.

🕒 Experience Required: 7–8 Years (Steam Turbine Power Plant Experience)

📝 Key Responsibilities:

The total support for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of control systems and instrumentation for steam turbines and their ancillary equipment was provided in one go. The ABB AC800M DCS, Siemens PLC, and plant SCADA systems were operated, maintained, and troubleshooting was done. The Bently Nevada 3500 series vibration monitoring system used monitoring and analyzing the turbine condition. Among the various monitoring devices were the sensors, proximity probes, accelerometers, and velocity sensors that were maintained and troubleshot. Vibration, which is caused by the movement of the turbine was detected and control and instrumentation faults that were affecting the turbine protection, trips, and alarms were diagnosed. Documentation such as P&IDs, logic diagrams, control narratives, loop drawings, and vibration layouts were thoroughly reviewed and even interpreted. A safe and stable plant operation was achieved through the collaboration of operations, electrical, and mechanical teams. Logic modifications, system upgrades, and commissioning activities were supported. The following were kept: system backups, configuration records, vibration trends, and technical documentation. The plant’s IT networks were managed to operate smoothly through the management of IT infrastructure and troubleshooting of hardware and software issues. Compliance with safety standards, cyber security requirements, and permit-to-work procedures was ensured.

🎯 Required Skills & Competencies:

• The ABB AC800M DCS was directly used together with Siemens PLC.
• The control networks and SCADA systems are already familiar territories to the person.
• -Mainly, along with the experience, steam turbine control, protection, and condition monitoring were the areas of involvement.
• The person was involved in Bently Nevada 3500 series, vibration analysis, and sensor calibration activities.
• The person is proficient in diagnosing vibration trending, alerting, and trip settings.
• Reasonable experience in handling field instruments and control valves is acquired.
• The person should possess thorough and plant IT networks management knowledge, e.g., system administration, network infrastructure, and troubleshooting of hardware and software issues that are quick and efficient.
• MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are extremely user-friendly and simple to use.
• Wonderful problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills are possessed by the person.
• The person has a good understanding of the plant safety systems and engineering discipline.
