Wateen Telecom Limited, the foremost telecom company in Pakistan, is in search of an active and well-trained individual for the position of Assistant Manager in the Audit, Risk & Governance department. The person taking this role will have the chance not only to support but also to improve the internal audit processes and methodologies while being part of a core service area contributing to the telecom company’s effectiveness, compliance, and governance.

The chosen individual will be a major contributor to the audits, compliance reviews, investigations, and risk assessments processes, and the organization will be in good hands in terms of internal controls, regulatory requirements, and the application of industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the internal audit process in different departments and functions of the organization

   

• Carry out compliance checks and risk evaluations to ascertain conformity to company policies and rules of regulators

   

• Assist in inquiries concerning operational, financial, and compliance issues

   

• Promote the development of audit methods, internal controls, and audit procedures on an ongoing basis

   

• Draft audit reports, risk assessments, and suggestions for management and the board

   

• Work together with various departments to strengthen controls and develop strategies for risk prevention

   

• Keep track of the actions taken in response to audits and make sure that audit findings are resolved promptly

Qualifications & Experience

• Professional Qualification: CA / CA Finalist / ACCA

   

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years post-articles experience in internal audit field

   

• Big 4 Audit Firm Experience: Mandatory

   

• Proven experience in audit planning, risk evaluation, and compliance reviews

   

• Very good understanding of internal control frameworks, governance, and regulations as well
