State Bank of Pakistan
The State Bank of Pakistan is the central bank of the country and is responsible for regulating the entire banking system. Its functions include issuing currency, managing monetary policy, controlling inflation, and supervising commercial banks. SBP also acts as a financial advisor to the government. While it does not offer typical commercial banking services, it provides career opportunities in economics, banking supervision, IT, audit, compliance, and research. SBP is considered the backbone of Pakistan’s banking sector.
