Artistic Milliners Jobs – General Manager Industrial Engineering | Karachi

Artistic Milliners, which is one of the top denim and apparel manufacturers in Pakistan, is looking for a General Manager – Industrial Engineering (IE) with at least ten years of experience and a strong results orientation to become a member of its senior leadership team in Karachi. This role is for professionals having a wealth of experience in industrial engineering, productivity enhancement, and handling big garment production operations.

The General Manager – IE will be a key player in the improvement of operational efficiency, cost-saving, and labor productivity, as well as driving the implementation of continuous improvement measures throughout the denim manufacturing units.

Role Summary:

The position requires the candidate to spearhead activities aimed at enhancing the productivity of the entire plant, reducing the time that machines are not in operation, and thereby increasing the overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) in the manufacturing sector. Besides this, the person will have to support the implementation of the standardization of processes, governance of SMV, and GSD-based methodologies with the introduction of leadership and the automation and digital transformation initiatives. Moreover, this person will be responsible for the assessing and enhancing the performance metrics that are related to the factory’s efficiency, the use of labor, and the operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and implement productivity and efficiency improvement initiatives across production lines

• Drive process standardization using GSD and SMV methodologies

• Monitor and enhance machine utilization, line balancing, and OEE

• Reduce operational costs through effective IE strategies and labor optimization

• Lead automation and digital transformation projects across manufacturing units

• Analyze KPIs related to efficiency, productivity, and labor effectiveness

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence goals

Requirements:

• Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering or Industrial Engineering

• Experience: 12 to 18 years of progressive Industrial Engineering experience in denim or apparel manufacturing

• Skills:

  • Strong leadership and people management skills

  • Proven expertise in GSD, SMV, automation, and ERP systems

  • Excellent cost management and analytical capabilities

  • Demonstrated track record of driving operational excellence in large-scale manufacturing environments
