Job Responsibilities:

  • Receives and counts goods for sale, such as deli meats, cheeses or any other product sold by the deli department, ordered by the department head or assistant manager and sees that they are properly placed in the warehouse, refrigerator, freezer or any other place assigned for storage.
  • Slices charcuterie meats, cuts cheeses and wraps them. Weighs, labels and puts on shelves, according to department rules, deli meats,
  • cheeses and any other product sold by the department.
  • Makes price changes on the shelves and, if necessary, on the products sold by his department.
  • If necessary, rotate merchandise on shelves and keep work areas clean.
  • Serves at the deli/cheese counter for the customer who wants the products sold by the department.
  • Complies with government health standards.
  • Wear the required safety equipment.
  • Performs any other related task required by his/her immediate superior.
