Job Description
You will be responsible for constructing, installing, repairing, and maintaining various wooden structures and fixtures within our clients’ buildings. Your role is essential in ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of interior and exterior carpentry work to meet client requirements and enhance the overall appearance of the facilities.
Desired Candidate Profile
· Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, plywood, and other materials to construct structural frameworks, partitions, doors, windows, and cabinetry.
· Install wooden fixtures, such as baseboards, crown moldings, trim, and staircases, using hand and power tools to ensure precise fitting and alignment.
· Inspect and assess existing wooden structures and fixtures for damage, wear, or deterioration.
· Repair or replace damaged or defective components, including rotted wood, broken hinges, loose joints, or cracked surfaces, using appropriate techniques and materials.
· Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as sanding, staining, painting, or varnishing, to preserve the appearance and integrity of wooden surfaces.
· Apply finishes, such as paint, stain, or varnish, to wooden surfaces to enhance their appearance and protect them from environmental damage.
· Install decorative elements, such as moldings, paneling, or trim, to add aesthetic value and architectural detail to interior spaces.
· Ensure that finished carpentry work meets quality standards and client expectations in terms of craftsmanship, durability, and visual appeal.
· Adhere to safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards governing carpentry work, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe operation of tools and equipment.
· Identify and mitigate safety hazards in the work environment, such as sharp objects, protruding nails, or unstable work platforms, to prevent accidents and injuries.
