Position: Civil Technical Engineer

Duties:

Review for IFC drawings and project specifications and develop comprehensive detailed technical documentation
Prepare shop drawings for all civil works including blockwork, finishes and architectural details
Facilitate design validation with structural and architectural teams, and resolve design conflicts
Review / prepare PQDs, material submittals, and method statements
Provide technical support to site teams, and facilitate compliance with design intent and regulations
Assist in liaison with consultants, clients, and subcontractors to resolve any technical issues
Carry out site inspections for QA/QC process
Assist value engineering initiatives with the identification and development of alternative construction methods

Requirements:

4-6 years of relevant experience within the construction industry in the UAE
Demonstrated thorough knowledge of UAE building codes and standards, applicable authority approval processes.
Solid AutoCAD skills and approval software package, MS Office skills
Possess experience in steel works and finishing works
Ability to develop shop drawings and submittals, and coordinate construction’s workflows
Good communication skills and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate in English; Arabic is an advantage.
