The Role

  • Assist the DFSA authorised Compliance Officer and MLRO in addressing all Compliance and AML inquiries.
  • Respond to day-to-day Compliance and AML queries from the business.
  • Provide support during Corporate Governance meetings and take accurate minutes when required.
  • Contribute to Core Compliance by reviewing and updating policies and procedures, and assisting brokers in understanding policies, practices, and the code of conduct.
  • Help manage the relationship with the DFSA, acting as a Deputy Compliance Officer and MLRO.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Compliance Department and the Business.
  • Assist with Client onboarding, KYC verification, and act as the primary point of contact between the Business and clients.
  • Develop and implement efficient filing systems for Dubai office clients.
  • Support Compliance Monitoring activities and participate in the investigation process for received alerts and risk events.
  • Collaborate with the ME Compliance Team to contribute to compliance efforts across various areas.
  • Provide Energy & Commodities guidelines to ensure compliance with DFSA regulations.
  • Identify and mitigate ongoing compliance and AML risks.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory developments and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Aid in the understanding of policies, practices, or the code of conduct.

The Candidate

  • 2 years in a similar Compliance role to E&C markets markets with knowledge of E&C products
  • Knowledge of DFSA regulations and understanding of compliance principles.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with KYC procedures and client onboarding processes.
  • Proficient in creating and maintaining filing systems.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Proactive approach to staying updated with regulatory changes.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Relevant certifications in Compliance or AML are a plus.
