Responsibilities:

  • Create a record that will clearly demonstrate how personal data is used in each area of the business and the categories of data used.
  • Map out the flow of data used throughout the business.
  • Interview business leads to understand their processes and document them using google docs and excel.
  • Understanding and documenting the processes and providing guidance in highlighting where there may be security vulnerabilities or where additional controls are required for the processes.
  • Liaise with each business to implement any immediate necessary controls.
  • Assist with undertaking and cataloguing risk assessments for each process/asset.

Requirements:

  • A qualification or research or project work experience in a relevant subject – this might be from a degree, or a research project or similar.
  • Current or recent graduate studying towards a degree in Information Security, Privacy, Management Information Systems, or Computer Science.
  • Mapping out data flows and documenting business processing activity.
  • Business analysis experience.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Excel, Google docs and sheets.
  • Experience of data protection, privacy laws or compliance/risk generally is an advantage.
  • An understanding of privacy/security disciplines.
  • Confident working with new people, explaining objectives and guiding others through processes.
