Job Description:
Responsibilities
- Analyze journal and ledger entries, bank statements, inventories, expenses, tax returns and other accounting and financial records, documents and systems of an individual, department, company or other establishment to ensure financial recording accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards, procedures and internal controls
- Prepare month-end projects’ accounting records and financial statements using the centralized Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Management System
- Analyze past and current financial records, statements and accounts for the project and provide recommendations to improve accounting and management practices
- Make sure that the accuracy and completeness of master data is always maintained and audited
- Prepare certain treasury reports
- Assist external auditors
- Post, process and reconcile A/P and A/R
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
- Recent graduate with a Bachelors’ Degree in Finance or Accounting
- Up to 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience in construction would be considered an asset
- Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Practical and working knowledge of eCMS or similar software would be considered an asset
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Fluency in French (verbal and written) would be considered an asset
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to focus.
