Landscape Chemical Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Golf course turf and ground maintenance.

   

• Chemical treatment plan for greens, fairways and green spaces.

   

• Spraying and applying herbicides to eliminate weeds and grass according to a schedule.

   

• Conduct rodent and pest control programs.

   

• Check the condition of the grass and soil and change the fertilizer or claim accordingly for the crops.

   

• Ensure that the right chemical is used, in the right quantity and in the right way.

   

• The senior greenkeeper will decide the time of treatment together with the team.

   

• Identify the disease or weed and plan for its prevention.

   

• Wear safety clothing (PPE) when using chemicals.

   

• Strictly follow safety, health and environmental regulations.

   

• If there is a chemical spill or accident, report it immediately and resolve the issue.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.

   

• 5-6 years of experience

   

• Experience with agricultural or weed chemicals is good.

   

• Basic knowledge of fertilizers and sprays

   

• Know safety rules when using chemicals.

   

• Ability to write records and prepare reports

   

• Able to supervise staff and work with a team.

Work Environment: Outdoor field environment across golf course areas, with regular exposure to turf maintenance operations and controlled chemical applications.
