– Spotting fake news, new trends, all that jazz about ECP
– Set up ways to track stuff going viral
– Figure out where misinformation’s coming from
b) Fact-Checking:
– Double-check whatever’s going around online
– Match it up with official ECP data and records
– Write up reports (evidence and sources please, no “my cousin said”)
– Help get ahead of viral lies before they spread
c) Reporting & Communication:
– Daily/weekly reports on what’s popping online
– Sound the alarm if something dangerous is spreading fast
– Work with the Spokesperson to clap back at false stuff
– Keep a neat little database of what’s true and what’s not
How to Apply:
– For Fact Checker & Data Entry Operator: use ECP’s Online Recruitment System at www.ecp.gov.pk or jobs.ecp.gov.pk within 20 days from the ad’s publication. But wait, you ALSO need to mail in hard copies of your application! Miss this and you’re out.
– Send your docs (application form, CV, certificates, CNIC, passport photo) to P.O. Box 1418 within 30 days of the ad going live. Write the job you’re applying for on the envelope. Don’t get lazy.
– Naib Qasid folks: skip the online part, just mail your docs to the address above.
Other stuff:
– Late applications? Nope.
– No travel allowance for tests/interviews. Don’t even ask.
– They’ll only call shortlisted candidates.
– Where’s the test? Depends on how many apply, so don’t bother asking yet.
– You could be posted anywhere in the country.
– Age relaxation? If the government says so, maybe.
– They can ditch the whole process or change the number of jobs whenever they feel like it – don’t take it personally.
TL;DR
If you’re keen, get your stuff together and apply. Don’t wait till the last second, and triple-check those requirements. Good luck!
