Position: Middle School English Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

• Instruction & Classroom Leadership: Foster a dynamic and engaging learning environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and a love for literature and writing.
• Curriculum Implementation: Deliver the English curriculum in alignment with school standards, ensuring student-centered and inquiry-based learning experiences.
• Student Assessment: Regularly assess and monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing meaningful feedback to support individualized learning.
• Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, subject specialists, and support staff to create an interdisciplinary and cohesive educational experience for students.
• Parent Communication: Maintain consistent and effective communication with parents through regular updates, meetings, and conferences.
• Professional Development: Engage in ongoing learning opportunities to stay updated with the latest teaching methodologies, curriculum advancements, and best practices in English education.

Skills

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Teaching certification and/or relevant accreditation.
• Prior experience teaching English at the middle school level; experience with IB MYP or other international curricula is highly preferred.
• Strong command of the English language, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment that fosters critical thinking and a deep appreciation for literature.
