RESPONSABILITIES

  • Identifying, developing and monitoring different dataset related to cost control and other financial information for the region,
  • Creating and building data analysis tools to automatize and monitor cost control KPI’s ,
  • Working on the development of predictive models and analysis regarding cost saving, budget and performance,
  • Analysing and interpreting the models and datasets to share relevant insights for cost optimization in the region,
  • Prepare synthetical presentations for the Finance Team and the Regional Management,
  • Ensuring the quality and cleaning of the financial and cost data
  • Working in project mode, creating a timeline and ensuring deliverables are produced accordingly

QUALIFICATIONS

  • According to French law, the VIE is only open to applicants aged 18 to 28 years old who are European citizens.
  • You have a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Data Analysis/Data Science, Mathematics/Statistics or related discipline (Finance, IT, Engineering) but with a strong interest for data analysis.
  • You have ideally a first experience as a data analyst in a Finance environment. You have strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, Power BI, QlickSense and programming languages (ex: Python).A first experience/knowledge a real interest for the Shipping industry would be an asset.
  • You are fluent in English, written and spoken.
  • You are rigorous, analytical and curious. Your knowledge of finance and IT/Data Science combined with your analytical mind will enable you to succeed in this mission.
  • This mission might require punctual business trips to the head office and/or within the region.
