Ismail Industries Limited is looking for a Head of Modern Trade to lead and scale its nationwide modern trade operations, driving revenue growth, profitability, and market share through strategic leadership and strong execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, guide and develop modern trade head office and regional teams, working on a good team culture and trust, accountability and collaboration.
- Work closely with marketing, supply chain, finance and trade marketing to ensure smooth operations across all channels.
- Manage the P&L of modern commerce: grow sales, trading costs, margins and profits, as well as volume, value and distribution.
- Optimize promotional strategies, pricing, and assortment to maximize ROI and overall channel performance.
- Forecast sales and manage demand planning in coordination with Supply Chain to ensure availability and execution readiness.
- Guide regional teams (supermarkets, hypermarkets, convenience stores, wholesale and e-commerce), check their performance, find gaps and implement solutions.
- Take care of important accounts and build good partnerships.
- Make plans and get promotions, prices and contracts right.
- Maintain good relationships with bosses and work as a team.
- Make sure all products are in place in the store and promotions are running smoothly.
- Look at sales and market data and tell management what to do.
- Resolve team issues and ensure everyone is following the rules.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Degree in business, marketing or related field (MBA is good).
- 5 years of on-the-job experience in account management, sales or similar, FMCG sector is ideal.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical capability, supported by a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Proven leadership, negotiation, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
