Responsibilities of IT Quality Specialist

  • Apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate IT processes through careful analysis in order to maximize the benefit of IT Services in IT initiatives.
  • Develop and establish quality assurance measures and governance standards for new/existing policies, processes, procedures, guidelines.
  • Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in IT services and processes across the organization.
  • Conduct internal audits to measure and assure adherence to established QA standards.
  • Serves as the Management Representative for certification audits, training and maintenance of ISO.
  • Manages all internal and external audits, document control and record review.
  • Put methodologies for Continuous Improvement.
  • Identifying and facilitating non-conformities resolution with functional and technical groups.
  • Prevention of quality problems through planned and systematic activities including documentation.
  • Finding & eliminating sources of quality problems through tools & equipment so that customer’s requirements are continually met.

What you’ll be doing

  • Responsible to adhere with all information security policies and procedures of the University.
  • Ensure that auditing activities and requirements are conducted as needed and identify existing or potential issues and resolve as needed.
  • Collaborate with technical team to implement needed controls and process improvements.
  • Communicate progress, issues, results, and other relevant information to management.
  • Analyze formal complaints or issues in order to discover and report any weak links, bugs, and issues.
  • Assist in the development of processes, practices, and guidelines for new and existing technologies.
  • Ensuring that process quality requirements are determined and planned.
  • Defining, analyzing and resolving all issues effectively and responsively.
  • Other duties as assigned.
