Job Key Details:

  • Respond promptly to support requests and provide timely resolutions to technical issues
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems, including desktops, laptops, printers as well as peripherals
  • Install, configure and maintain computer systems and software, ensuring compatibility and adherence to organizational standards
  • Handle user accounts, permissions and access rights to ensure data security and confidentiality
  • Work with the IT team to identify and implement proactive measures to prevent technical issues and enhance system performance
  • Respond appropriately to emergency situations and assists other staff members in maintaining readiness to respond to emergencies within the workplace
  • First contact resolution and troubleshooting via phone and remote access tools
  • Managing Incidents through incident management service portal
  • Provide training and support to employees on the effective use of technology including software applications and hardware devices
  • Document and maintain accurate records of technical issues, resolutions, and troubleshooting steps
  • Carry out any other related tasks as may be required

Job Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
  • Proven experience as an IT Support Specialist or in a similar technical support role
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, networks, and operating systems
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • A strong sense of responsibility and commitment to providing high-quality support
