Job Responsibilities:
A- Demonstrates competent pain management skills and communicates to the multidisciplinary team.
B- Demonstrates critical thinking/problem-solving skills ensuring effective functioning and performance of the job.
C- Teaches, supports, coaches, and mentors nursing staff to promote evidence-based practice, knowledge, skills, and professional development related to pain management.
D- Reviews patients on intravenous (PCA) and epidural pain management in a timely manner and evaluates the effectiveness of therapy.
E- Maintains comprehensive knowledge of Prevention and Control of Infection (PCI), International Patient Safety Goals (IPSGs), Care of Patient (COP) in Inpatient settings & Patient & Family Education (PFE).
