Louvre Abu Dhabi is looking to appoint a “Senior Communications Specialist” to join our Development, Marketing and Communication Department. This role is responsible for planning and executing activities related to the internal and external communications of Louvre Abu Dhabi to protect and enhance the reputation of Louvre Abu Dhabi.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support the team in strategies and plans and execute internal and external communications requirements to promote Louvre Abu Dhabi.
• Ensure the smooth running of the press office including being a key point of contact for all media enquiries, and facilitate interview requests for the museum.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external media providers and journalists. Welcome and track all press contacting or visiting the museum.
• Coordinate press trips for Louvre Abu Dhabi and engage with various local and international press.
• Develop written material related to the Communication Unit including press office documents as well as internal documents.
• Arrange media standard and ad-hoc training for relevant stakeholders to ensures smooth delivery of Louvre Abu Dhabi messaging.
• Support the senior team members in issues related to crisis management, predominantly through rigorous media monitoring and management of media.
• Support in managing the internal communications of the museum to ensure staff across the museum are up-to-date with the latest information.
• Assist in managing commercial and non-commercial photography and videography requests, in line with the Unit’s policies and processes, ensure the positive promotion of Louvre Abu Dhabi’s brand against yearly revenue targets.
• Manage and coordinate external resources such as agencies, press monitoring agencies and translators.
• Conduct regular reports about museum perceptions, press output and coverage analysis to identify successes, trends and monitor risks, and provide feedback and recommendations.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Public Relations, Journalism or related disciplines.
• A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in communications within a museum, heritage site or leisure and tourism sector.
• Fluency in English. Arabic or French will be an added advantage.
