Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee monthly reporting process of third-party fund administrator to ensure delivery of timely and accurate net asset values and returns
• Prepare monthly client investment statements and management billings
• Oversee year-end fund audit and financial statement preparation process. Coordinate with external auditors and third-party fund administrator
• Oversee year-end fund investor tax preparation process. Coordinate with third-party fund administrator and tax advisors
• Review semi-annual fund financial statements
• Prepare year-end investment company (and affiliates) financial statements. Coordinate with external auditors
• Prepare quarterly investment company financial statements, calculation of excess working capital for regulator, and sales tax returns and installments
• Maintain investment company (and affiliates) books and records, including processing of invoices
• Prepare monthly marketing materials
• Prepare documentation for subscriptions and redemptions
• Strategize with CEO on business process improvements and initiatives to assist in the continued growth of the firm
• Perform other ad hoc assignments, as required

Job Requirements:

• A recognized professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA)
• A minimum of 4 years of progressive work experience in an accounting or auditing function, with a focus on the investment management industry
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications and an aptitude for learning new software
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with high degree of professionalism
• Team player who is self-motivated and results oriented – must be willing to take initiative in a highly entrepreneurial environment
