Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the effective navigational safety management system of the ports/channels.
• Maintain continuous Radio watch on VHF channel 14/16 and communicate with vessels to collect the pre arrival report to update the movement log/anchor list.
• Continuous monitoring of the vessels movement using all the available resources (AIS/Visual Monitoring/Radar).
• Daily updating of the anchorage list and coordinate with Marine agency for the vessel inbound planning.
• Prepare and execute inbound movement plan as per booking schedule and direct the vessel to proceed to registration berth.
• Prepare and execute inbound movement plan of fishing vessels as per the booking schedule and direct the vessel to proceed to fishing vessels berth.
• Share the berth availability to Marine Agency.
• Provide the berth allocation plan of the vessels in Creek and Marfa to marine agency and share the planned inbound movement data with customs/immigration department and coast guard.
• Daily exchange of inbound and anchorage vessels summary with Dubai customs.
• Issuing permission for Barges, Tugs, RTA, Yachts and Water Bus movements through DCM channel and update channel Bookings.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in marine engineering or similar.
• Relevant USCG engineer license.
• Professional engineer (PE) certification preferred.
• A minimum of four years’ experience as a marine engineer or similar.
• Experience with engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Rhino 3D, and SOLIDWORKS.
• Sound knowledge of maritime software such as HMI and PLC control systems.
• Familiarity with maritime HM&E systems and naval construction processes.
