What this role involves:
- Develop the marketing strategy and integrated marketing plans to attract a visitor audience to the event and generate exhibitor leads for sales team to convert
- Drive exhibition and sponsorship revenue as well as attendee registration through all online and offline channels, with a key focus on digital channels such as email and paid digital campaigns (PPC, SEO, paid social ads, affiliates etc)
- Budget allocation & management – Ensure optimal allocation of budgets, weekly update of budget tracker, negotiating costs as applicable.
- Marketing campaigns & collateral – Planning campaign elements & marketing collateral, briefing agencies and teams involved, ensuring quality of work meets Informa Connect standards, including but not limited to emails, online & social media advertising, media partnerships & purchase, database build etc.
- Audience segmentation – Visitor/exhibitor audience profiling, study media consumption behaviour, developing tailored messages and value proposition development.
- Content Marketing – Ensure content and campaign plans and activities are fully integrated. Work on content such as blog posts, whitepapers, interviews and reports for events with Agencies and Media Partners
- Ensuring related websites are fully up to date with the latest content and key messaging is displayed throughout and analyse website performance throughout the campaign
- Identify data acquisition strategy to grow the existing databases
- Set up and management of partnerships with external organisations and suppliers to ensure maximum exposure at lowest cost to event budget
- Regularly review campaign analysis to ensure that the revenue and audience KPI will be achieved
- Develop a 365-day approach to community management across social and digital platforms to support digital revenue KPIs for the events.
- Prepare KPI reports for the team
