As the Media Coordinator, your responsibilities will include managing and coordinating the media and communication strategies for industry events and related projects. You will be responsible for creating and implementing social media campaigns, managing press relations and media outreach efforts, coordinating media-related activities for events and campaigns, and ensuring the effective delivery of communication strategies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute communication and media strategies for various events and campaigns
• Support media operations in WCAS
• Provide support for live stand-up and broadcast studio support in zone, as needed
• Liaise with venue operations team for media support, as needed
• Serve as media team representative with venue operations team; attend all meetings in zone as required when directed by WCAS Media Manager
• Support the media operations team in other zones as needed
• Report to the WCAS Dome Media Manager

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience managing communication, media, and/or social media strategies for events, campaigns, or projects
• Strong copywriting and proofreading skills, with the ability to produce high-quality written content
• Experience in managing press relations and media outreach efforts
• Experience in developing and implementing social media campaigns
• Knowledge of media trends and the ability to translate data analytics and insights into actionable strategies
• Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
