- Communicate with Masters regarding operation matters on daily basis.
- Communicate with agents, charterer and port authorities if required.
- Ensure Masters know & understand exactly what is expected from them and their ships.
- Monitor the vessels’ speed, noon /arrival/ departure reports, etc. for any significant changes and find out the reason if any.
- Daily monitor bunker quantities and close cooperation with Masters/TSI & also Bunker Desk to supply required amount of bunker at next convenient port.
- Be on the lookout for potential operational problems and disputes and to try to resolve.
- Act as a clearing house for information within the company in order for other department in company such as Technical /Marine/Crewing & Purchasing all in the loop of ship’s next plan.
- Be in close contact with Charterers for any cargo requirements such as bunkering, tank cleaning, NOR tendering, cargo release confirmation, delay in berthing, Etc.
- Be familiar with IMO 2020 and ECA.
- Contact the next port agents (once vessel is on V/C).
- Monitor Masters and agents correspondences on pre-arrival documents and entry formalities.
- Inform immediately Operation Manager if facing any operation difficulties.
- Know how to do demurrage and lay-time calculations.
