Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
· University degree coupled with a CPA/CA designation. MBA an asset.
· Thorough understanding of the electricity industry and the Energy Act, Federal & Provincial regulations, industry stakeholder groups and corporate industry.
· Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Senior Financial Leader within a regulated industry
· Strong technical accounting knowledge, including thorough knowledge of IFRS and modified-IFRS
· Proven track record of providing strategic leadership allowing for maximum operating potential, while maintaining complete accuracy and reliability of the company’s financial data
· Extensive, experience and knowledge of budgets, internal controls, business planning, and asset management.
· Experience in M&A and and raising capital and funding
· Advanced proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheet programs and applications.
· Experience identifying business opportunities, analyzing the competitive landscape, and developing financial models to support the company’s overall strategy
· A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
· An aptitude for Change Management with a proven history of success leading organizational transformation.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
