Job Responsibilities:
A- Performs the assigned preventive, corrective and other maintenance services in a related field and ensures the timely completion of the tasks.
B- Analyzes data provided by the controls system, meters, the laboratory, or other Animal Care staff, in order to troubleshoot water quality, flow or other systems problems.
C- Performs various troubleshooting techniques related to field of expertise.
D- Maintains accurate logs of the maintenance activities and reports the status to the ALSS leadership team.
E- Maintains the department’s tools, parts, materials and equipment inventory.
F- Performs other duties assigned by the ALSS leadership.
Job Requirements:
A- Diploma related to the technical field
B- 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
C- 2 years of experience in aquatic life support systems in a zoo, aquarium, or oceanarium setting is a plus
D- Excellent troubleshooting skills related to System Automation
E- Basic computer skills including MS Office applications (Word, Excel)
F- Able to interpret pump curves
