Responsibilities:

  • Contribute and support overall Receivables.
  • Creating procedures and policies that ensure timely payments while maintaining a high level of customer retention.
  • Reconciling complex accounts that have been escalated from the AR team.
  • Monitoring debtor balances to ensure a reduction in debtors DSO.
  • Ensuring credit and collection policies and procedures are followed within your team.
  • Liaising with customers, as well as internal personnel including the sales team.
  • Contribute to the team’s/department’s business targets with particular emphasis on Trade Credit Insurance and maintaining effective relationship with credit insurance service providers.
  • Coach and guide junior members on the Trade Credit Insurance Management Team to deliver the team’s assigned duties efficiently.
  • Assist the Group Financial Reporting Manager in the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly management reports.
  • Support month-end and year-end close process.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Group Finance team to align processes, policies and controls with those of the Group, to improve efficiency while maintaining strong internal controls.
  • Ensuring integrity of financial transactions and fulfilment of reporting requirements.
  • Assist with designing and implementing in-house training programs for finance staff.
