Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that vessels in AMEA are manned according to legal requirements and SVITZER’s standards for relevant operational activities while ensuring crew statutory compliance across the region
  • Assist in developing and maintaining regional guidelines for management of crew costs, driving cost efficiency in all crewing related expenditure
  • Provide inputs on business development / new tender projects. Assist in ensuring that all relevant flag and registry requirements are being met by the AMEA fleet in connection with new business opportunities
  • Crew compensation and rewards management for forming conceptualized, proposed and produced a standardized rewards program for all offshore personnel in AMEA

Job Requirements:

  • Tertiary level education as minimum, degree level or formal maritime higher diploma preferred
  • Demonstrable previous crewing management experience in a maritime environment essential.
  • Deep Knowledge of the crewing / towage / maritime sector required.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing crew standards and safety procedures
  • Network within global crewing environment for attracting and resourcing crews for current and new business
  • Expert knowledge of international crewing regulations including flag state requirements, STCW, ILO, MLC2006 regulations
  • Pro-active self-starter, team player able to work using own initiative
  • Able to prioritise and make decisions
