Job Responsibilities:

  • Liaises with the customers (internal & external) once payment has been received to ensure a seamless execution of the booked event including ensuring that any venues booked for privatizations have been reserved accordingly
  • Prepares an event briefing according to the details of what has been booked and ensures it is 100% in line with the customer’s expectations and what has been paid for before submitting it to the internal team that will be managing the event on the day
  • Shares the event briefing for the planned event with Operations including critical details such as technical specifications, administrative details, and special requirements.
  • Attends events as necessary and directs activities from start to finish to ensure the function success and customers satisfaction.
  • Coordinates all elements of the event with a creative mindset to create a flawless experience for clients
  • Works with sales team to acquire necessary services and activities for events while meeting budgetary objectives.
  • Performs post-event tasks to ensure client satisfaction and documents any issues for future learning and enhancements.
  • Ensures that all requests are handled within the agreed timelines.
  • Constantly gathers, understands, and applies expanding knowledge of foods, beverages, technical equipment and inter-departmental procedures within the Sales Team and as part of the planning process with the client
  • Supports customer loyalty and brand standards by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
  • Builds strong relationships with customers to drive repeat events and activities with MAF LEC
  • Builds strong relationships with MAF colleagues to maximise teamwork and collaboration
  • Handles guest complaints and disputes in a polite and professional manner
  • Ensures that selling strategies are adhered to during negotiations and maximizes upselling opportunities whenever possible.
  • Attends weekly and monthly department meetings and prepares meeting notes and feedback accordingly.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience working in a 5-star hotel environment within Conference and events.
  • Previous experience in the GCC is an advantage
