Job Description

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: 

 

  • Responsible for tasks relating to, but not limited to, SGA and Cash Accounting but could see the following general accounting areas: bank transactions, prepaids, other A/R, projects and ad hoc requests as needed
  • Prepares journal entries
  • Prepares and maintains monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Prepares internal management reports and ad hoc reports as needed
  • Prepares year-end audit schedules and support
  • Maintains Fixed Assets and Inventory module
  • Assists, as necessary, in documenting, designing and testing processes and procedures affecting the financial statements or financial performance of the company
  • Assists in systems and spreadsheets automation to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting functions and processes
  • Help Accounting Managers mentor the Staff Accountants

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Requirements

 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong understanding of GAAP
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in the use of computer spreadsheets

 

Education And/or Experience Requirements

 

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA or CPA-track preferred
    • Big 4 or Regional public accounting experience a plus
    • 4 to 8 years of experience preferred
    • Workday financials experience a plus
