Senior Data Analyst Jobs
You’ll need a Bachelor’s in something techy—think Software Engineering, Computer Science, or whatever’s close enough to fool HR. They’re not messing around with experience, either. You better have been knee-deep in data for at least 7-8 years. None of that “Oh, I did a group project in college” stuff. Real analyst work. Business data, too.
If you don’t speak SQL? Forget it
Same goes for Spark/Hive SQL, Python, and R. They want you to actually know your way around those languages, not just smile and nod at the right times. Visualization is a big deal, too—Tableau, Power BI—if you can’t make a chart that doesn’t look like a toddler drew it, probably not your gig.
You gotta know your stats
Like, really know them. Statistical methods, data analysis tricks, all that nerdy math stuff. And big data? Yeah, you should have wrestled with databases, built models, mined data. If you’ve only ever used Excel, you might wanna sit this one out.
Oh, and don’t forget the cloud
AWS, Azure, GCP—they want you comfy with at least one of the big players. Basically, if you’re a data person who can wrangle messy info, build slick dashboards, and flex some serious cloud muscle, this could be your playground. If not…well, there’s always TikTok.
