Job Responsibilities:

• Strong support knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems, including Windows XP, Windows 7 and 10.
• Knowledge of RCM systems and procedures including Citrix application delivery clients.
• Supports a variety of user hardware, including a variety of PC models, laptops, printers, scanners and mobile computing platforms.
• Able provide basic troubleshooting support for end user programs and MS Office suite apps.
• Knowledge regarding security procedures, virus scanning, password compliancy and remote VPN procedures.
• Able to research computing problems using a variety of different resources such as manuals, Internet and peers.
• Provides training and demonstrations of Microsoft Office core products, Exchange, and basic Windows desktop functions to end users.
• Updates help desk knowledge base to document problem resolution, known bugs, and workarounds.

Job Requirements:

• Community College graduate or equivalent experience, with formal training in Information Systems field to compensate for the absence of degree.
• Candidates must have minimum one (1) year experience supporting clients in a Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office environment.
• Candidates must have minimum one (1) year experience supporting mobile devices (iOS, Blackberry), printers, label printers, scanners, and other computer and peripheral hardware.
• Candidates must have one (1) year experience in a similar role supporting IT systems in a high-availability manufacturing environment.
• Candidates must have strong customer service and communication skills.
• Networking and data communication experience is an asset.
• Strong troubleshooting skills. MCP, A+, MCSC certification is an asset.
• Vendor certifications are an asset.
• Logs calls using the RCM’s current ticketing system, monitors progress and provides follow-up to clients;
• Identify problems using input from users, help desk knowledge base, ticket tracking system, etc.;
• Updates and maintains all information in problem ticket system;
• Performs basic Windows administration including user lockout requests, password resets, account creation and group membership requests;
• Reports system outages, user problems, and overall concerns;
• Builds new PCs using desktop images according to IT PC build standards;
• Moves, upgrades and replaces desktops at end user sites;
• Skilled in writing and verbal communications.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnosis skills in Windows desktop operating systems and corporate networking environments.
• Pride in closing difficult tickets without direct supervision or additional aid.
