MEP Estimation Engineer in Dubai-2024

Job Description

  • Document Review: Thoroughly review all documents provided by the main contractor, clients, and/or consultants, including drawings, specifications, addendums, special instructions, and BOQ (if applicable) to determine the scope of work and proceed with estimation.
  • Quantity Take-Off: Perform quantity take-offs for MEP services, including electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
  • Cost Research: Research and obtain updated data on labor and material costs by sending RFQs to approved vendors.
  • Cost Estimation Systems: Utilize cost estimation systems to document project information and generate estimates.
  • Estimation Sheet Preparation: Prepare an estimation sheet based on the provided documents, data from suppliers/vendors, and quantity take-offs.
  • Proposal Quotations: Prepare proposal quotations by finalizing material costs, labor costs, overheads, profit margins, and risk factors.
  • Document Revisions: Review and revise quotations if there are revisions or additional documents for tender works.
  • Site Survey and Monitoring: Conduct site surveys, set targets for each project, and monitor whether the target billing for each project has been achieved.
  • Bill Breakdown and Progress Billing: Prepare a bill breakdown and progress billing for ongoing projects based on the site progress report and approved BOQ for invoicing purposes.
  • Variation Reports: Identify discrepancies between the tender plan and shop drawings, and prepare variation reports as needed.
  • Support Drafting and Engineering: Assist the draftsman and engineer in preparing MEP shop drawings.
