𝗪𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗛𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 & 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿

The Network & Data Center Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining the organization’s LAN/WAN infrastructure, data center operations, and network security systems at Head Office, Karachi. This role ensures high availability, optimal performance, and security of network and data center resources. The engineer will also oversee power systems within the data center to maintain continuous operations.

𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻:- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT/Telecom
𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲:- 3 years of hands-on experience in LAN/WAN networking, MikroTik configuration, VPN management, data center operations, power infrastructure handling, and network monitoring tools.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀:

• Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN networks, including routing, switching, and network segmentation.
• Manage, and responsible for routers, firewall rules, and advanced routing (Static Routes, OSPF, VLANs, NAT).
• Monitor network performance (WAN / LAN) and ensure uptime, stability, and scalability.
• Configure, manage and troubleshoot VPN technologies (IPSec, OpenVPN, L2TP, SSTP) for secure remote access and site-to-site communication. Ensure encryption standards and security compliance.
• Manage day-to-day data centre operations, ensuring availability, scalability, and security of all hosted systems.
• Responsible for managing and maintaining data center infrastructure, including fire, HVAC, access control and environmental monitoring systems.
• Maintain proper documentation including rack layouts, cabling, and network diagrams.
• Maintain and monitor power infrastructure including UPS systems, PDUs, generators, and power distribution.
• Ensure redundancy and failover systems are operational for uninterrupted power supply.
• Coordinate maintenance and testing of power equipment with vendors and internal teams.
• Use monitoring tools (Solar Wind, Zabbix, PRTG, etc.) to track network and data centre health.

𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀:-

• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies, TCP/IP, subnetting, routing and switching
• Proficiency with MikroTik configuration (Router OS, Win Box, Firewall, VPN, Queues, etc.).
• Experience with VPN setup and troubleshooting (IPSec, L2TP, OpenVPN, PPTP, SSTP).
  Understanding of data centre tier based standards, cable management, and server hardware management.
• Knowledge of power systems UPS, generators, and overall data centre power distribution and infrastructure.
