Who are we looking for?
Preferably LLB and enrolled as an Advocate.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience preferable with a financial institution.

Key Responsibilities:

Legal, Litigation & Corporate Responsibilities

1. Prepare and review legal and security documents for the bank.

    

2. Provide legal advice on contracts and agreements (services, finance, mortgages, bank guarantees, etc.).

    

3. Guide bank staff on laws and regulations.

    

4. Coordinate with courts, regulators, and law agencies, and keep sensitive data secure.

    

5. Monitor and manage the bank’s legal matters (recoveries, contracts, property, leases).

    

6. Maintain legal case records and work with external lawyers.

    

7. Align HR policies and contracts with laws.

    

8. Assist managers with shareholder and corporate matters.

    

9. Handle any legal work that may arise.

Skills/ Other requirements:

• Must have good knowledge of banking laws, regulations, products, and policies.

   

• I am a good negotiator, self-starter, team player, and conflict resolution skills.

   

• I am strong in writing and communication, and maintain proper records for the company.

   

• Must be able to use MS Office and handle legal documents.

   

• Willing to travel to various branches of the bank and follow the company values.
