Responsibilities:

  • Develop effective internal partner relationships and relationships with major Marine customers so that sales objectives can be achieved. Work with senior management to develop and implement market strategies for key industries and customers as well as securing commitment of Caterpillar and Dealer resources to assure continued customer satisfaction.
  • Promote new solutions and upgrades for transformational growth to customers.
  • Consult with various departments within Caterpillar regarding the direction and strategies that key industry leaders will be adopting in the future.
  • Consult with dealers and districts about sales and service support of product to “corporate account” customers.
  • Travel in customer locations to gather voice of customer (VOC), monitor customer satisfaction and identify future product and service needs.
  • Apply product and services knowledge to ensure VOC is recognized both short-term and long-term expectations are met.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or engineering related field and 8+ years of progressively responsible experience including field or customer/dealer support related roles or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 years Marine or other heavy industry experience such as O&G or Electric Power leading customer solution development and proven ability to close sales opportunities.
  • English language skills at professional level.
  • Able to deal with sensitive issues and/or persuade others on new methods of equipment application, new technology and service methods.
