Customs Documentation Specialist Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze WTO, regional and local customs, tariff and trade laws [along with country experts in government relations, etc] to determine admissibility requirements, entry reporting (including duty and other payment) requirements, as well as trade programs for purposes of establishing clear procedural rules for process and internal controls creation and maintenance.
  • Perform the daily operational customs clearance for both import and export.
  • Prepare Customs documentation eg. Certificate of Origin, SASO etc.
  • Identify potential customs and/or tax planning opportunities and implement plans to take advantage of such opportunities.

Job Requirements:

  • College graduate with major in finance, International or business (strongly preferred) or equivalent experience – Required
  • At least 3 years’ experience in preparing customs documents and customs declaration – Strongly Preferred
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Fluency in English language
  • Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written) with operating personnel, upper management and with external service providers, i.e. attorneys and consultants
