Description

The Inside Solutions Architect (ISA) is a presales resource that leads the consultative discovery of the client’s business goals, objectives, and challenges, and then translates them into effective technology solutions. The primary objective of the ISA is to increase the growth of revenue and margin from opportunities in their respective solution environment. The UC, Collaboration & AV ISA is a technical expert who supports the presales process by designing and recommending advanced Unified Communications, Collaboration, and Audio Visual (AV) solutions tailored to customer requirements. This role works closely with sales teams, external customers, and vendor partners to provide high-quality technical guidance and ensure customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate combines technical knowledge of UC, collaboration, and modern AV technologies with excellent communication and collaboration skills. The ISA works as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for their clients and Zones’ sales teams.

Responsibilities

Assist sales teams in presales activities, including gathering customer requirements and supporting solution design. Support the creation of Bill of Materials (BoM), quote generation, and solution validation for UC, Collaboration & AV technologies. Develop a working knowledge of UC, Collaboration & AV platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex, Zoom, Voice and Video systems, Contact Center solutions, Crestron, and integrated meeting room technologies. Stay informed about industry trends, emerging UC, Collaboration & AV technologies, and vendor offerings. Participate in discovery calls to understand customer needs and contribute to appropriate solution designs. Assist in reviewing configurations, designs, and quotes before delivery to ensure accuracy and alignment with customer requirements. Support the identification of upsell and cross-sell opportunities within the UC, Collaboration & AV solution portfolio. Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude and take initiative to improve internal processes, knowledge sharing, and documentation. Work towards achieving relevant certifications to enhance technical expertise and support vendor relationships in the UC, Collaboration & AV space. Build familiarity with the company's services catalog and UC, Collaboration & AV solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field. At least one vendor competency certification in Microsoft Teams, Cisco Collaboration, Zoom, or other UC&C or AV platforms is preferred. Microsoft Teams Administrator Associate, Cisco CCNA Collaboration, or equivalent certification is a plus. Minimum of 2+ years in a sales and/or IT implementation/support role. Basic understanding of UC, Collaboration & AV technologies and solutions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to learn and develop technical and presales expertise. Ability to collaborate effectively with sales teams, vendor partners, and customers. Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
