Junior Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Junior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, performing bank reconciliations, handling payroll processing, and ensuring compliance with applicable tax regulations. Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online and Desktop) is essential.

Perform bank reconciliations and accurately record all bank transactions Assist in bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks (Online and Desktop) Prepare and manage receipts, invoices, and financial records Ensure compliance with sales tax, corporate tax, and provincial tax regulations Calculate and apply correct tax rates, including Income Tax Credit (ITC) Identify and rectify errors in tax calculations and financial transactions Support payroll processing using employee timesheets Prepare employee paystubs (direct deposits and paper cheques) Ensure timely processing of salaries, deductions, and payroll adjustments Resolve payroll-related queries and discrepancies Assist in reviewing Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and financial reports Communicate with clients on accounting and payroll-related matters when required Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to sound accounting principles Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Proven experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll processing Hands-on experience with QuickBooks (Online & Desktop) Strong understanding of tax regulations (sales tax, corporate tax, provincial tax) Proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills Strong communication and organizational abilities
