Role Overview

NBP Funds is looking for a Commodity Manager to manage and optimize commodity-linked investment portfolios. The ideal candidate should have a good knowledge of global and local commodity markets, such as gold, oil, and agricultural products, and should have the ability to understand market fluctuations and develop profitable investment strategies for clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and trade commodity funds

   

• Monitor market trends and supply demand

   

• Hedging to avoid price risk

   

• Prepare market updates and reports

   

• Follow trading rules and Sharia guidelines.

Desirable Education, Skills, Knowledge and Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or related field; CFA holders or students preferred.

   

• Experience: 3-5 years of commodity trading, portfolio management or investment research experience (in an AMC, bank, or brokerage)

   

• Technical skills: Must be familiar with PMEX platform and Bloomberg/Reuters; Must be familiar with calculations and modeling in MS Excel

   

• Soft skills: Must be able to make decisions under pressure, have integrity and strong communication skills
