Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal counsel on all commercial, reputational, structural and other transactions across the company’s business lines.
  • Aid fund raising in securities transactions including debt offerings and stock offering.
  • Advise clients on corporate governance and compliance with pre-existing and new securities regulations.
  • Amend and review pre-transaction and transaction documents.
  • Perform complete due diligence on all matters before transactions are finalised.
  • Assist with legal structures for new product offerings.
  • Create effective investment strategies and structures for the region and for offshore entities.
  • Provide key advice on multi-jurisdictional transactions.
  • Mitigate the company’s (and its investment vehicles) legal and reputational risks globally.
  • Advise as to the company’s developing legal landscape it expands across the globe.
  • Manage external stakeholders, like external counsel for litigation, investors, financing institutions, shareholders etc.
  • Familiarity with Islamic finance structures is required and expert knowledge is a big plus.
  • Familiarity with securities services (custody, prime brokerage etc) is required and expert knowledge is a big plus.

Job Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate should have recent, regional work experience in a top tier investment bank.
  • Must have direct experience working with a broad range of capital markets services and the associated regulatory landscape in the UAE, KSA and Europe.
  • Experience in structuring, negotiating and overseeing cross-border transactions within and outside of the region.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills
